This is an amazing rectangular cushion cut blue sapphire from Sri Lanka.  Sapphires that are mined from Sri Lanka are considered one the most premium in the gemstone trade as the colors are usually very beautiful!  This particular stone has a very vibrant deep blue color and is perfect for a gift to that special someone or gemstone collector.   This stone has been slightly heated which is normal for more then 90% of sapphires in the market.  The stone has NOT been subjected to any other treatment (e.g. NOT beryllium-diffused or lead-filled, etc.)
